Experience

- Previous experience working in addiction treatment, residential recovery, mental health, crisis support, or community support services is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with substance-use concerns, mental health challenges, trauma histories, or co-occurring needs
- Ability to build supportive, professional relationships while maintaining clear therapeutic boundaries




- Experience providing one-to-one client support, emotional support, check-ins, and practical recovery-focused guidance
- Familiarity with recovery principles, relapse prevention, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and client-centred practice
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team and communicating effectively with counsellors, nursing staff, management, and other support professionals
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, documentation, professional conduct, and duty of care
- Experience supporting clients in a residential or structured treatment environment is considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of community recovery resources, peer-support programs, and 12-step or other recovery pathways is beneficial
- Education or training in social services, counselling, psychology, mental health, addictions, community support, or a related field is an asset
- Equivalent combinations of education, lived experience, and relevant professional experience will also be considered

Pay: $36.00-$44.85 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
