We are seeking a talented individual to join our Credit Specialties team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Credit Specialties team offers risk management solutions that focus on payment, performance, and country risks, helping clients replace collateral, secure finance and release capital in a world of continuous change. Due to the size of the current transaction pipeline and accelerating market demand, we are seeking a Senior Vice President reporting to the Financial Institutions Practice Leader for North America, bridging insurance, structured finance, and capital markets to support banks, asset managers, and other non-bank financial institutions in efficiently transferring credit risk.

We will count on you to:

- Serve as a senior and integral team member for key accounts within the Financial Institutions Practice in Credit Specialties, supporting origination, structuring and placement of credit risk transfer solutions while ensuring service meets or exceeds expectations and protecting the company from Errors & Omissions
- Market, negotiate and place a wide spectrum of credits, including but not limited to project finance, asset acquisition finance, aircraft finance, corporate finance, consumer finance, shipping finance, real estate, securitization, lease finance and related derivatives, trade finance, and bank surety
- Support all aspects of the transaction lifecycle from origination to closing in conjunction with the broker account team, including accurate and timely delivery of structuring advice, transaction materials, legal documentation/contract negotiation, and administration
- Educate and deliver thoughtful advice to external and internal stakeholders on available credit risk transfer solutions, combining understanding of client capital structure, accounting and economic objectives, and the regulatory environment




- Provide structuring recommendations to help clients achieve their goals within the parameters of insurance market appetite
- Undertake research and analysis (with a focus on private credit and structured finance products) to stay on top of market developments and help continually improve/refine the offering
- Manage high-level transactional client demands, communicate effectively, and build trusted relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Knowledge share and develop others as the team grows

What you need to have:

- 10–15 years of experience in (re)insurance, banking, or consulting engaged in structured finance and/or credit risk transfer
- Ability to quickly absorb, analyze, and act upon information, demonstrating strong proficiency with figures, accuracy, and attention to detail while meeting deadlines
- Broker license (Ontario) obtained within 3 months after onboarding and/or currently held, and must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Strong team player with the ability to work in a deal-driven, collaborative and multicultural work environment

What makes you stand out:

- Knowledge of acceptable CRM tools and requirements in the Americas to best help advise clients achieve capital and limit relief
- Transactional experience including familiarity with off balance sheet structures (e.g., SPVs), conduit financing and investor appetite (funded and unfunded), regulatory capital treatment by asset class, legal documentation review and negotiation, and IFRS 9/US GAAP implications and solutions
- Highly organized with the ability to work under time pressure while consistently meeting deadlines
