Responsibilities

- Provide daily care for swine, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health status
- Assist with herd movement, sorting, and grouping to optimize farm productivity
- Conduct regular inspections to identify signs of illness or injury among animals
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as feeders, waterers, and cleaning equipment
- Perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting to manage feed bags, supplies, and animals
- Keep detailed records of herd health, treatments, and daily activities




- Support biosecurity protocols to prevent disease spread within the herd

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain farm machinery efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in various farm tasks
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation and maintenance is highly desirable
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in animal care and record keeping
- Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks in outdoor environments
- Positive communication skills for teamwork and following instructions accurately
