The IT Senior Systems Analyst is a collaborative role that works closely with colleagues in IT Services, university stakeholders, and third-party service providers to analyze patterns, identify problems, and determine, design and/or recommend, document and implement solutions (hardware, software or process) for the operations and maintenance of the institution’s infrastructure services.The incumbent ensures that the work done is in alignment with the enterprise solutions architecture and standards.Job RequirementsDegree or diploma in Computer Science, plus at least five years related experience in supporting a medium or large enterprise.Formal training or education in enterprise security and related conceptsFormal training/education or experience in data networking and related hardwareDemonstrated understanding of networking concepts/services such as DNS, DHCP, firewalls,



and routingFormal training/education or experience with telecommunications infrastructureKnowledge and experience working with cloud and on-premise environments (virtualized and physical)Experience with Windows and Linux operating systemsExcellent problem solving and time management skillsStrong customer service philosophyAbility to be flexible within the work workplace, establish strong working relationships and participate in team responsibilities effectivelyPreferredKnowledge of LDAP concepts and Microsoft Active Directory is desirableITIL certification or experience would be an assetAdditional InformationThis is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-D with a salary range of $84,423 (minimum) to $99,223 (midpoint) to $114,023 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
