Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including meats, vegetables, and bread, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate the tandoor oven safely and efficiently, maintaining optimal temperature and cleanliness throughout service
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients specific to tandoori dishes and communicate needs for restocking




- Ensure all food served meets health regulations and quality standards at all times

Skills

- Proven experience in food service or restaurant kitchens, particularly with tandoori or Indian cuisine preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices
- Ability to operate a tandoor oven safely and efficiently under high heat conditions
- Excellent understanding of meal preparation processes within a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Effective teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues
- Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable
