Montessori School in Markham is looking for a RELIABLE Teacher's Assistant to join for the upcoming school year.

Your role will be essential in fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, growth, and confidence among young learners.

Responsibilities

- Assist classroom teacher with daily instructional activities, ensuring smooth lesson delivery and student engagement
- Support students
- Provide one-on-one lessons or small group instruction in subjects such as math and language
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing positive reinforcement strategies and maintaining a safe environment
- Maintain an extremely clean envrionemt at all times.
- Help children dress, washroom routine, serving lunch, clean up, maintain classroom
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that promotes social-emotional development and encourages active participation from all students




- Prior experience working with children in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to assist with academic support in subjects like math and language-must be able to correct math equations and language activities
- Classroom experience that showcases your ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to dynamic settings-take initiative when main teacher is dealing with visitors, parents...
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teacher and students
- Fluent in English
- French an asset but not required
- Experience working with children an asset
- Monterssori experience an asset but not required
- Caring, reliable, patient, and enthusiastic

Must be willing to commit to working from September 2026 to June 2027

Monday to Friday 9:00-3:00

Must have CPR training, Police Reference Check-Vulnerable Sector Screening, Up-to-date immunization record, T.B. test, letter from doctor stating in good health.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
