Become a Public Safety Radio Technologist with the City of Saskatoon. This role focuses on maintaining Motorola ASTRO® 25 P25 radio systems for effective emergency communication.

As part of the Strategy and Transformation Division, you will report to the Electronic Communications Coordinator. Your responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining vital radio communication infrastructure, ensuring high availability and compliance with standards.

Expertise in IP networking and radio systems is highly valued here.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain Motorola ASTRO® 25 P25 radio systems
Monitor system performance and conduct repairs
Configure interoperability solutions for effective communication
Apply security practices to protect radio systems
Support maintenance of backup power systems

Requirements:
Diploma in Electronic Systems Engineering Technology
Minimum four years of public safety radio experience
Motorola ASTRO® 25 certification preferred
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
