M&E Project Manager The Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager leads, directs and coordinates the daily management of the Mechanical and Electrical scope of the project. This leadership position is accountable for the overall performance of the scope including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to company policies and procedures. More importantly, the M&E Project Manager will work collaboratively with the associated Design and Engineering Consultants and associated Trade Partners to manage a successful team and help develop future construction professionals. Please note that this position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Secret‑level security clearance. This role will be based out of our Ottawa office but will need to travel to sites as necessary. What You Will Be Working On Provide safety leadership through the implementation of the Bird Safety Program and the monitoring of the safety performance of the project team and subcontractors. Planning, scheduling, setting objectives, and controlling activities during the construction phase of a project(s) in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and Project Team.



Assist with the optimizations of mechanical and electrical design drawings through the progression of the project Design and construction phases. Collaborate with associated Engineering consultants for design deliverables and ensure Owner requirements are met and adhered to. Assist with the preparation of ongoing cost estimates and the preparation of the overall Mechanical and Electrical budget as part of the overall project cost during the preconstruction phase of a project. Assist in the preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts. Supervision and development of project team members through regular feedback, training and coaching; timely completion of performance evaluations. Administration and management of prime contract and subcontracts associated with Mechanical and Electrical Scope of Work; includes negotiation and awarding of subcontracts for scopes of work, as well as review and evaluation of subcontractor performance.
