Join the University of Ottawa as a Senior Specialist in Indigenous engagement within the Common Law Indigenous Program. Shape initiatives that support reconciliation and enhance the Indigenous student experience.In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic advice on indigenization and lead significant projects aimed at fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Your efforts will focus on supporting Indigenous students academically and culturally while implementing the Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Engage with various internal and external partners to build robust relationships.Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate community engagement and support for Indigenous students
Collaborate on initiatives reflecting the Indigenous Action Plan




Manage recruitment strategies for Indigenous law students
Organize cultural and educational events to enhance awareness
Develop ongoing career development programs for the communityRequirements:
Degree in law, education, or social work; JD preferred
Minimum five years of relevant experience in education or legal practice
In-depth knowledge of Indigenous history and cultural practices
Organizational and project management skills
