Your success will be measured by your ability to achieve results in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way.What will you do?Resolve complex situations, conduct investigations, and interpret and apply multiple bylaws and legislationEducate citizens and promote community stewardship for property standards, licensing bylaws and specialty enforcement initiativesConduct investigations to verify and satisfy appropriate legislative and regulatory provisionsGenerate compliance and cooperation by educating the public through explanation of bylaws, policies and proceduresApply appropriate enforcement actions: issue written or verbal warnings, violation or specified penalty tickets and clean up ordersRespond to and process a high volume of complaintsCollect evidence to support each investigative filePrepare reports and court briefs; provide evidence in court as requiredOther duties as assignedQualifications:Completion of a recognized 2 year Diploma related to Police Studies, Security, Criminology, or a related diploma is requiredA minimum 3 years of strong customer service experience is requiredA minimum 1 year of diverse bylaw and/or law enforcement experience is requiredAbility to pass an internal training program which includes Officer Safety tacticsSkills required for success:Knowledge of investigative techniques, bylaws, enforcement powers and authority, court proceedings, and rules of evidenceAbility to exercise sound judgment, discretion, professionalism,
