Role Description The Technical Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Markham, ON. This position is responsible for engaging prospective and existing clients, understanding their analytical equipment needs, and recommending appropriate refurbished solutions and services. Day-to-day tasks include responding to inquiries, preparing quotations, following up on leads, and maintaining accurate sales records in the CRM system.
The role also involves coordinating with technical, customer service and service teams, supporting product demonstrations, and assisting in the delivery of training and onboarding for customers.
You will be expected to create opportunities, nurture relationships as well as develop successful strategies and tactics to grow our market share in a competitive marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle for HPLC, GC, MS, and other equipment
- Develop customer relationships
- Schedule calls with clients and follow up on leads promptly
- Successfully negotiate sales transactions
- Manage a complex set of demands and relationships to maximize customer satisfaction
- Provide regional market and product feedback to management
- Use CRM and other tools as required to drive business
Skills/ Requirements:
- 2+ years of sales, laboratory, or related industry experience
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and sales workflows
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- Strong computer knowledge
- Valid driver license
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong decision making skills
- Quick self learner
- B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry or related field is preferred
This is NOT a remote position. Candidates must reside within the GTA area and be eligible to work in Canada to be considered.
