Join Chilliwack Middle School as a Youth Support Worker, dedicated to assisting students with behavioral challenges in a supportive educational workplace. This role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and parents.
In this Child and Youth Care Worker position, you will assist in developing strategies tailored for students to foster acceptable behaviors. You will collaborate with classroom teachers and student support services to implement, monitor, and adjust behavior management programs. Your direct support for individual students will help influence positive changes in their behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create specific behavior improvement strategies for students
• Aid in monitoring behavior management effectiveness
• Engage with parents and community partners for support
• Work directly with students in small groups
• Facilitate recreational and educational programs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum one year’s experience with youth behavioral issues
• Valid B.C. Class 5 driver’s license
• Strong abilities in crisis response and communication
• Capacity to work individually and within a team environment
Contribute to the development of essential social skills at Chilliwack Middle School through targeted support and engaging activities.
