Job Title Marketing Specialist, Graduate & International Recruitment
Employee Group PMA - Qualified and Managerial Association
The base salary will be $67,680 - $96,590 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

Responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Director, Recruitment Marketing, the Marketing Specialist, Graduate & International Recruitment provides specialized marketing expertise to support Western's graduate and international recruitment priorities. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Western Communications, the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, the Office of the Registrar, faculties, and other campus partners, this individual develops and manages integrated marketing projects and initiatives that position Western as a destination of choice for prospective graduate and international students, strengthening awareness, consideration, and engagement in support of the University's recruitment and enrolment priorities.
The Marketing Specialist manages the planning and execution of integrated marketing projects, develops audience-centred marketing content and campaign assets, and coordinates marketing activities that support graduate and international recruitment initiatives, campaigns, events, and other strategic priorities.
This individual identifies opportunities to enhance marketing effectiveness, provides advice and guidance on the most effective approaches, and recommends improvements that strengthen prospective student engagement, optimize recruitment marketing initiatives, and support the University's graduate and international enrolment objectives.
Qualifications Education:
Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or another related discipline
Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Higher Education, or a related field preferred
Professional accreditation or designation in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related discipline is considered an asset preferred
Experience:
5 years' progressively responsible experience in marketing, recruitment marketing, higher education marketing, digital marketing, or another related field
Experience developing and managing integrated marketing projects and initiatives that support organizational objectives and engage diverse audiences through coordinated, multi-channel marketing approaches
Experience developing audience-centred marketing content and campaign assets, and coordinating complex marketing projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and concurrent deadlines
Experience applying audience insights, market research, campaign performance data, and marketing analytics to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements
Experience supporting graduate, international, higher education, student recruitment, or enrolment marketing initiatives preferred
Experience marketing academic programs, research excellence, or other complex institutional initiatives preferred
Experience working within a complex, decentralized organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple integrated marketing projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to develop compelling, audience-centred marketing content and campaign assets for diverse domestic and international audiences
Demonstrated ability to develop integrated marketing approaches that strengthen awareness, consideration, and engagement among prospective graduate and international students
Strong understanding of marketing principles, audience segmentation, digital marketing, content strategy, and integrated marketing communications
Demonstrated ability to interpret audience insights, campaign performance data, market research, and emerging marketing trends to recommend improvements and enhance marketing effectiveness
Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective partnerships and provide marketing advice and guidance to colleagues and campus partners
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify opportunities, and recommend practical marketing solutions
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment marketing initiatives
