Help shape young minds at Stitó:sLá:lém Totí:lt Elementary/Middle School as a Temporary Full time Inclusion Teacher. This role supports students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Effective from September 1, 2026, this position seeks candidates with in-depth experience in special education and a comprehensive understanding of current educational strategies. Building positive relationships with students, families, and fellow educators is key. The inclusion teacher will focus on developing and implementing effective individualized learning plans that align with provincial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement current instructional practices for diverse learning
• Collaborate effectively with the School Based Team
• Develop individualized education plans with input from various stakeholders
• Conduct and interpret various assessment types effectively
• Create engaging literacy and numeracy instructional programs
Requirements:
• Extensive training and expertise in diverse educational needs
• Experience with SEL programs and co-regulated strategies
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice
• Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs
• Interpersonal skills that foster collaboration
