Become a pivotal part of York University's Advancement team as a Communications Specialist. This permanent full time role focuses on creating compelling narratives for alumni and donor engagement.

In this position, you will support the Director of Advancement Communications by developing various written materials for digital and print channels. As an experienced writer with at least five years in fundraising communications, you will craft proposals, case statements, and stewardship reports. Emphasis will be on storytelling to enhance alumni engagement and donor cultivation, all within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a range of written materials for stakeholder engagement
• Write and edit proposals, stewardship reports, and digital content




• Adapt styles to fit diverse media and audience needs
• Collaborate closely with team members on communication initiatives
• Conduct research and interviews for content accuracy

Requirements:
• University degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or English
• Minimum 5 years' experience in fundraising writing
• Proven skills in storytelling and persuasive writing
• Proficiency in desktop publishing tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
