Be a vital part of the City of Mississauga as a Compensation Consultant, focusing on driving equity in compensation practices. This role is hybrid and requires robust project management and analytics skills.
In this four-year temporary position, you will report directly to the Manager, Compensation & Job Evaluation. The Compensation Consultant will collaborate closely with Labour Relations to support complex organizational structures and job evaluations. Your success will depend on your ability to handle multiple projects while advising on compensation-related matters and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead compensation program design and implementation
• Analyze compensation data and trends for proposals
• Prepare cost estimates for collective bargaining
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management
• Develop documentation for consistent compensation practices
Requirements:
• Five years of relevant experience in compensation
• Strong understanding of Pay Equity and legislation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in multiple software applications
• Certification in compensation practices is a plus
