Approximately 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong full‑cycle accounting experience

Experience preparing financial statements and supporting schedules

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is technically strong but also wants to take ownership and grow into a leadership role.

Strong accounting fundamentals and financial statement knowledge

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Ability to independently investigate and resolve accounting issues

Confidence working directly with external accountants and management

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and reporting deadlines

Good professional judgment

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Career Growth
Freightera is continuing to develop its internal finance function.

For the right candidate, this role provides an opportunity to take progressively greater ownership of accounting, reporting, internal controls and finance operations.

Our objective is for a high‑performing Senior Accountant to have the opportunity to progress into a Controller role within approximately 1–2 years. Longer term, there may also be opportunities to take on broader senior finance leadership responsibilities as the company grows.

Advancement will depend on demonstrated performance, technical capability, leadership ability and the evolving needs of the business.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $70,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, CPA status and the candidate’s ability to independently manage senior‑level accounting responsibilities.
