Who Are You?
Reporting to the General Foreman, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping shop in working order, includes building and equipment used for manufacturing.

What Will You Do?

Provide quality customer service to internal clients

Respond to requests in a prompt and expeditious manner

Produce exceptional quality workmanship on finished products.

Workplace Safety

Monitor, ensure and always promote workplace safety

Practice and adhere to safety in the workplace and ensures that the well-being of oneself and the others are not endangered in the plant

Comply to, ensure and adhere to safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Maintenance

Ensure all equipment’s longevity & safe working operations

Perform regular preventative maintenance on all WBM equipment from Machine Shop equipment to power tools

Repair all broken equipment and perform Lock outs when required.

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair or replace defective parts,



and make suggestions for potential improvements.

Confident in operating machine tools such as lathes & grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery.

Follow preventative maintenance programs, maintain records and safety.

Education:

High school diploma

Lock Out training

Fall Arrest training

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of related experience

Millwright experience is an asset

Knowledge

Good knowledge of the manufacturing industry, our Company, products and services.

In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use and care

In-depth knowledge of all safety practices

Skills

Effective communication skills to read, write, listen, and speak in a clear and concise manner to individuals at various levels

Strong interpersonal skills work collaboratively and cooperatively with others

Effective time management skills to productively complete work and meet all expected deadlines and conflicting demands.

Strong organizational skills to plan out and coordinate work

Strong critical thinking and analytical skill to identify and resolve problems

Advanced problem-solving skills to methodically and logically work through problems
