Enhance Indigenous wellness as a Registered Dietitian with BANAC in North Simcoe Muskoka. This full-time position focuses on nutritional assessments and integrated care in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
As part of Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin’s Chronic Disease Prevention team, the Registered Dietitian will be instrumental in providing wholistic nutrition care. You'll deliver counseling for chronic disease management and integrate Indigenous knowledge into care planning. Collaborating closely with healthcare providers, you will impact the health and wellness of Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nutrition counseling for chronic disease prevention
• Participate in interprofessional care team case conferences
• Integrate Indigenous food systems into nutrition education
• Support community food security priorities
• Adapt nutrition tools for various literacy levels
Requirements:
• Registered Dietitian in positive standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
• 3-5 years of clinical practice experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or equivalent
• Membership with Dietitians of Canada preferred
• Experience with EMR systems an asset
