About Conestoga MeatsConestoga Meats is one of Canada’s largest pork processing plants, committed to responsibly raised pork and supporting local farmers and communities worldwide.Position: General LabourerFull‑time General Labourer, a key role in providing specialty and retail pork products to over 30 countries.ResponsibilitiesAssist in handling, weighing, and processing raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.Operate or support meat processing equipment such as mixers, grinders, and mobile tank trucks.Pack, sort, crate, and package products into bags, boxes, or containers.Maintain clean work areas and equipment.Perform quality checks on products and packaging for defects.Support machine operators and assemblers in their duties.Transport materials and products throughout the plant and warehouse, manually or with powered equipment.Perform other general labour duties as required.Qualifications & Requirements1 month to less than 7 months experience in a labor‑related field.Experience in food processing is an asset.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical and repetitive duties for up to 8 hours per shift.Ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Pass a functional work simulation assessment.Commitment to safety and quality practices.Strong attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination.Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).Legal eligibility to work in Canada.Completion of some high school education.Working EnvironmentPhysically demanding and fast‑paced.Handling heavy loads.Cut/Packaging department is refrigerated.Work area may be noisy and have occasional odors.Slaughterhouse, meat processing, and packing establishment.Manual and powered transport of materials and products.BenefitsStarting wage $22.02–$24.65 per hour.1–hour raise after 6 months to $23.06 per hour.Afternoon shift premium $1.25 per hour.Weekly direct deposit.Reliable full‑time hours; no rotating shifts.Optional overtime, daily and weekend.Employee referral bonus program for certain roles.Competitive benefits package (health, dental, vision, life insurance, STD) after 3 months.Pension plan with company matching after 1 year.Discounts on pork products.Employee assistance program.On‑site training and company‑provided equipment.Scholarship and English courses.Location313 Menno St, Breslau, Ontario, NOB 1M0.ApplicationPlease note the position is currently open.
