Transform campus culture at Mount Royal University as a Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response Advisor in a limited-term, hybrid position. You will focus on awareness and support for the community.
As a member of the Student Support team, your role will involve significant education about gender-based violence and creating effective prevention programs. Candidates will ideally have 3-5 years of relevant experience that allows them to advocate for survivors and coordinate educational initiatives. Your passion for promoting inclusive environments will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and evaluate comprehensive educational initiatives
• Coordinate training and workshops for students and faculty
• Create resources aiding in the identification and prevention of violence
• Plan significant awareness events to promote campus initiatives
• Collaborate for effective policy development and support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or similar
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in prevention education
• In-depth understanding of trauma-informed care
• Solid organizational and communication skills required
• Understanding of laws related to gender-based violence
