Graham is actively recruiting for a Buyer to support the Buildings Division. Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, the Buyer is responsible for delivering effective procurement and supply chain solutions across assigned projects, supporting both pre-construction and operations teams. This role focuses on sourcing goods and services, improving operational performance, reducing cost and business risk, and delivering greater value through the implementation of project-based supply chain strategies.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
Deliver procurement and supply chain solutions that support both pre-construction and project execution teams
Develop and implement project procurement strategies, ensuring goods and services are sourced and delivered in alignment with project schedules
Analyze quotations and tenders, issue procurement inquiries, and support supplier and subcontractor selection
Build robust relationships with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve issues, expedite deliveries, and maintain supply chain performance
Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service delivery, and mitigate supply chain risks while supporting safe and sustainable sourcing practices
The Right Tools for the Job
Education & Experience: Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience as a Buyer within construction, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar industry
Procurement Expertise: Working knowledge of procurement processes, supplier selection and evaluation, tendering, contract procurement practices, and subcontractor/material sourcing
Key Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems, and meet tight project deadlines
