Make a difference as an Addiction Counselor focusing on Adult Substance Use in Huron and Perth Counties. Offer vital support, assessment, and treatment planning for individuals facing addiction challenges.

As part of this role, you will provide biopsychosocial support and referral services tailored for individuals struggling with serious mental illness and addiction. Collaboration with clients and community resources is key to developing effective treatment plans, utilizing Measurement Based Care to enhance outcomes. Deliver services in-person, by phone, and virtually based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide education and crisis management for addiction concerns
• Conduct mental health assessments and treatment planning




• Develop and implement care plans with clients
• Maintain accurate clinical records for each client
• Engage in community outreach and education

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field preferred
• Experience in addiction counseling and community resources
• Knowledge of mental health and addiction treatment theories
• Registration with a counseling authority
• Solid communication and decision-making skills
