The Telfer School of Management is seeking a Cost Accounting Professor for the Winter 2027 semester in Ottawa, ON. This part-time position requires expertise in various cost analysis techniques and accounting systems.
As a Regular Part-Time Professor, you will teach the ADM3346 Cost Accounting course focusing on cost accumulation and variance analysis. Applicants should possess a recent MBA or Master's degree in accounting and demonstrate skilled experience relevant to the curriculum. Your role will establish a foundation for students' understanding of formal accounting systems in organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures on cost analysis and management
• Guide students in understanding cost accumulation systems
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
• Develop course materials and assessments
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance course offerings
Requirements:
• MBA or Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Accounting
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA)
• Recent experience in Management Accounting
• Evidence of professional development in the field
• Available Thursday evenings from 19:00 to 22:00
