Shape the future of privacy compliance as the Corporate Privacy Officer at Nova Scotia Power. In this full-time role, you'll lead privacy initiatives and provide strategic legal advice focused on safeguarding information.
This senior role within the Corporate Legal team involves developing and improving the enterprise-level privacy program comprehensively. Utilize your legal expertise to advise leaders on data protection and manage breach responses. Collaborate across departments to implement effective privacy solutions that meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement privacy program strategies
• Conduct comprehensive privacy impact assessments
• Guide and execute response plans for breaches
• Collaborate and build relationships with various stakeholders
• Champion privacy training and awareness initiatives
Requirements:
• Law degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience
• Robust knowledge of privacy and information governance
• Active membership with the law society
• Certification in privacy (CIPP preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
