Bee Able Staffing Services aims to provide supportive services to children, youth, and adults faced with challenges and complex needs inhibiting their success. With a qualified pool of CYW, DSW and PSW associates, we support group homes, foster homes, family homes, educational establishments, hospitals and nursing homes.

We are currently hiring for a Child Youth Worker (CYW) and Developmental Service Worker (DSW) for our client located in Mississauga, Ontario for various shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide one‑on‑one and group support to clients in foster homes, family homes, group homes, day programs, hospitals, and educational institutions.

Support children, youth, and adults with various mental health diagnoses.

Assist the client with personal care services in accordance with group home plans; these care services include bathing assistance, feeding, grooming, continence care, and more.

Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, walking in the community, recreational activities, and relationship‑building techniques.

Demonstrate interest in each individual and reinforce positive behaviours to build relationships with youth and their families.

Support clients in developing life and safety skills and anger management.

Provide conflict resolution and problem‑solving support to clients.

Encourage participation in activity programs.

Utilize harm reduction practices to de‑escalate and stabilize a client when in crisis or presenting with high‑risk behaviours.

Ensure that administrative duties are completed within required timeframes.

Participate in a plan of care as required.

Qualifications

A Human Services Diploma (Child & Youth Worker, Social Service Worker, Developmental Service Worker,



Personal Support Worker, Addictions and Mental Health Worker, etc.)

A minimum of 2 years experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD, mental health or special needs

Knowledge of Anti‑Black and Anti‑Indigenous racism

Knowledge of matters relating to LGBTQ+ people

Experience writing incident reports, responsible occurrences, report taking, daily logs

Clinical skills, including experience and ability working with and managing difficult behaviour

Ability to carry out safety plans and client care plans

Vulnerable Sector Search within a six‑month period

Criminal Background Check

Child Welfare Check

Must have certification in crisis intervention (CPI, UMAB, etc.)

First Aid and CPR Level C required

Valid G License and access to a reliable vehicle preferred

Ability to work various shifts with minimal notice
