The Town of Tillsonburg is hiring a Light Equipment Operator to ensure optimal maintenance of local infrastructure. This full time role includes operation of light equipment and requires various maintenance tasks throughout the community.

In this pivotal position, you’ll work within the Operations and Development department, focusing on infrastructure upkeep such as snow removal, road repairs, and drainage maintenance. Candidates should possess a valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License and at least two years of experience in Public Works. You will operate light equipment safely and efficiently while upholding high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate light equipment including trucks and front-end loaders




• Perform snow clearing and salting operations
• Conduct roadway and culvert repairs
• Install signs and maintain public safety devices
• Maintain cleanliness and records at the Transfer Station

Requirements:
• Minimum grade 12 education
• 2 years of related experience
• Valid Ontario Class G License
• Chainsaw certification preferred
• Knowledge of safety standards in Public Works
