Our Substation group is currently looking to add aSenior Project Engineerto our growing team, based in Greater Toronto Area of Ontario.Reporting to the Project Manager, we are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support ongoing EPC projects, ensuring the delivery of cost‑effective designs and procurement while providing engineering support throughout the construction lifecycle. This position serves as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal teams and is responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues, reviewing specifications, drawings, and test reports to uphold quality design standards, generating non‑compliance reports (NCRs) as required, and ensuring all project documentation is completed accurately and on time.Please Note: this position will be required to travel up to 25% of the time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as liaison and technical resources for all construction personnel on the projectIdentify technical issues during construction and develop practical solutions in collaboration with the project teamCheck specifications, drawings and test reports to ensure high quality designImplement and manage the Quality Plan and ensure the validity of documents related to the quality and monitors themPrepare and maintain project scope documents, proposals, estimates, change notices, and budgetsDevelop material and construction specificationsPrepare estimates, procurement support, material take-offs, requisitions, design packages and technical evaluationsProvide construction support, write non‑compliance reports (when necessary),



and respond to information requests from construction team and ensuring project documentation is completedTrack reception of material and inventoryMaintain and enhance relationships with internal groups and clientsRequirementsPost-Secondary Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Structural, Civil or related)Registered, or eligible to register, as an Engineer-in-training or Engineer with a Canadian engineering organization10 years experience in a technical position in the construction industryAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, single‑line diagrams, and technical specificationsStrong understanding of construction, electrical systems, and utility infrastructureExperience with quality management processes including NCRs, ITPs, and construction documentationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and ProjectValid Driver’s License and the ability to provide a satisfactory Drivers AbstractPreferred Skills / QualificationsExperience with Utility Construction projectsFamiliarity with Ontario utility standardsExperience with project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS ProjectBenefitsThis position offers a base salary range of$135 000 – $175 000annually, depending on experience and qualifications.We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee advantages, including an RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.#J-18808-Ljbffr
