Contribute to the Public Works Division as a full-time Utilities Maintenance Worker in the Township of Langley. Perform essential sewer construction and maintenance tasks with an emphasis on safety and initiative.

In this regular full-time position, you will report to the Manager, Utilities Operations, within a unionized workplace. Your role includes semi-skilled trades connected to the maintenance of sanitary sewage systems and various utilities operations. You will exercise independent judgement while assisting skilled crews and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform lift station wet well cleaning and maintenance
• Maintain station and force main air valves
• Conduct blowdown, valve, and fan maintenance




• Oversee sanitary sewage and storm water pump maintenance
• Maintain lift stations and mobile generators

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of sanitation construction methods and tools
• Understanding of safety precautions in utilities operations
• Ability to stay current with sewer maintenance techniques
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with current Personal Driving Record
