Lead the charge in Sikh art and culture at ROM, Canada’s largest museum. This curator role focuses on preserving history while engaging communities through exhibitions and educational initiatives.

As a strategic curator reporting to the Co-Chief Curator, you will enhance ROM’s Sikh art collection within its South Asia Initiative. Your expertise in diasporic arts will drive collaborations with local artists, enhancing community engagement and shaping visitor experiences that resonate with both Sikh and non-Sikh audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Steward and enhance the Sikh art collection
• Curate exhibitions in collaboration with community stakeholders
• Develop a comprehensive collection growth plan




• Create educational programs focused on Sikh art for diverse audiences
• Lead community engagement through public lectures and workshops

Requirements:
• Advanced degree in South Asian art history or related field
• Robust background in Sikh arts through curatorial or academic roles
• Fluency in Gurmukhi and familiarity with Punjabi preferred
• Experience in community outreach and engagement
• Knowledge of ethical standards regarding cultural heritage
