mining or energy sectors.Ability to independently lead wildlife surveys and small‑to‑moderate field programmes.Strong wildlife identification skills.Experience in one or more of the following:Acoustic monitoring (e.G., ARUs) and data processing.Wildlife camera deployment and data processing.Avian ecology and identification by sight and sound.Spatial habitat modelling.Statistical analysis and study design.Working knowledge of applicable federal, provincial and territorial regulations and guidelines.Experience preparing technical reports and contributing to regulatory applications.Ability to manage scopes of work, track budget and schedule performance.Strong communication skills when interacting with clients, regulators and/or Indigenous communities.Leadership and mentoring experience with junior wildlife biologists.Commitment to safety and health protocols.Drivers licence and ability to operate a company vehicle for travel to client locations.Position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.PreferredStatistical analysis or spatial habitat mapping skills.Experience on caribou projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead discrete components of wildlife field programmes and baseline studies.Coordinate and execute field programmes,



including logistics and crew supervision.Prepare and review technical reports, environmental assessment inputs and permit applications.Analyse field data and contribute to effect assessments, mitigation measures and monitoring plans.Manage assigned tasks or small‑to‑moderate project scopes, including budgets, schedules and deliverables.Support project managers and people leaders with work planning, resource coordination and risk identification.Serve as point of contact for clients, regulators and Indigenous communities on defined project components.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.Contribute to method development and best practices within the wildlife team.Adhere to ERM’s health and safety expectations at all times.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ERM to support integrated environmental assessments and project delivery.Compensation & BenefitsAnnual base pay is $76,819–$98,928 (CAD). Pay may vary based on education, experience, skills, location, performance and business needs. The role may be eligible for bonus pay (though casual and fixed‑term/flex employees are not bonus eligible).
