Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Civil / Drafting Engineer to support telecom infrastructure and wireless network projects in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience preparing telecom construction drawings, civil/structural details, site layouts, rooftop designs, tower modifications, and installation packages.

The candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, designers, and other technical teams to develop accurate, constructible, and compliant drawing packages for telecom network deployments and upgrades.

French language proficiency and Professional Engineering designation or eligibility/registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) are mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify technical drawings for telecom infrastructure projects, including site plans, schematics, construction details, and installation layouts.
- Prepare complete construction documentation and installation packages for field implementation.
- Develop drafting packages for 5G upgrades, rooftop installations, tower modifications, and telecom infrastructure deployments.
- Prepare civil and structural detailing drawings, including foundation details, tower reinforcement, and related infrastructure components.
- Review design requirements and translate engineering inputs into accurate construction drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, designers,



and other technical stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Incorporate engineering markups, design revisions, and field changes into final drawing packages.
- Maintain accurate drawing records, revision histories, documentation logs, and project information.
- Support quality control activities by validating design inputs, drawings, markups, revisions, and final deliverables.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve drafting and design-related issues.
- Ensure drawing deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.

Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in civil drafting, structural drafting, telecom infrastructure drafting, or a closely related field.
- Strong hands-on experience preparing telecom construction drawings and installation packages.
- Experience with telecom site layouts, rooftop installations, tower modifications/reinforcement, and foundation detailing.
- Experience supporting wireless/telecom infrastructure projects, including 5G upgrades.




- Professional Engineering designation or eligibility/registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- French language proficiency is mandatory, including both written and verbal communication.
- Solid understanding of civil and structural drafting principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering designs, specifications, markups, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate construction-ready drawings.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, designers, and field teams.
- Must be comfortable working onsite in Montreal.
