St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a temporary full time Secondary High Science & Math teaching position at St.

Augustine

School in Ponoka, Alberta. This position will begin August 27, 2026 and end June 30, 2027. We are seeking a Secondary teacher with a broad Math/Science background to support our Senior High programs, with the long-term goal of developing a versatile generalist capable of teaching courses such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and senior Mathematics. The initial assignment will focus primarily on general Senior High Sciences and a Biology course, with additional teaching in Senior High Mathematics and Junior High Science.

Ability to assist in the schools co-curricular and extra-curricular programs would be considered an asset. Possessing a certificate in Catholic Education from St. Joseph's College is an asset.

The Government of Canada offers Student Loan Forgiveness to teachers who work in Ponoka for 10 consecutive months and has a student loan in good standing. You could receive up to $30,000 over a maximum of 5 years.
