Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Licensed Optician to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our optical services, assist patients with their eyewear needs, and ensure a smooth and positive experience for every client. As a Temporary Licensed Optician, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized optical care while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Duties

- Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyewear that meets their prescription and lifestyle needs
- Verify prescriptions and order lenses using our online ordering software
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about lenses, frames, and contact lenses
- Conduct basic pre-testing and Contact lens trainings
- Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions, transactions, and optical inventory
- Support the optical team with stock management, frame displays, and cleanliness of the optical area




- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to optical services
- Dispense, adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyeglasses and other optical products
- Take accurate measurements, including PD and fitting measurements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, frames, and dispensing procedures
- Retail sales skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and sales support
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer concerns professionally
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions, measurements, and orders
- Teamwork and collaboration with opticians, optometrists, reception staff, and other team members.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly, professional demeanor
