Job Title: Senior Test Analyst

Location: Edmonton, AB – Remote

Employment Type: Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support software testing, business readiness, user acceptance, training, and quality assurance activities for a digital transformation initiative.

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in UAT, functional and regression testing, defect management, data and integration testing, Agile delivery, and end-user training. Experience using approved AI-enabled tools to improve testing, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer is also highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios aligned with business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional, regression, enhancement, end-to-end, and retesting activities.
- Identify, document, track, prioritize, and validate defects through resolution.
- Perform defect analysis and support root-cause investigation.
- Maintain test execution records, traceability documentation, testing reports, and project artifacts.
- Support integration testing, data validation, data migration testing, and business process validation.
- Participate in sprint and release testing, defect triage, deployment validation, smoke testing, and post-deployment verification.
- Monitor testing progress and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, job aids, FAQs, knowledge articles, presentations, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to validate training and testing requirements.
- Prepare training scenarios, demonstrations, datasets, and user adoption materials.
- Facilitate or support user walkthroughs, knowledge-transfer sessions, demonstrations, and training.
- Support business readiness, deployment readiness, go-live,



transition-to-operations, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Identify opportunities to responsibly use AI and Generative AI to improve testing, documentation, reporting, training, and knowledge management.
- Review and validate AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, completeness, accessibility, usability, and alignment with approved requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing, training, quality assurance, and business readiness processes.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 15+ years coordinating testing activities with business users, Business Analysts, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- 15+ years developing end-user training materials.
- 15+ years identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating software defects.
- 15+ years of experience with software testing methodologies and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- 5+ years supporting data validation, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and related QA activities.1
- 5+ years working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of testing processes, defect management, test documentation, and release readiness.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

- Active Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
- Agile certification.
- ISTQB, QAI, or equivalent professional testing qualification.




- Prosci Change Management certification/designation.
- SAFe 6 Practice Consultant certification.
- 5+ years designing role-based training programs and learning plans.
- 5+ years supporting or facilitating end-user training sessions.
- 5+ years supporting business and/or deployment readiness activities.
- 2+ years supporting licensing, regulatory, permitting, or citizen-facing applications.
- 2+ years working with ServiceNow applications, workflows, stories, and related project processes.
- Experience developing and delivering training related to data, systems, or digital processes.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools for testing, training, documentation, and quality assurance.
