The Powerline Technician works under the Line Supervisor and is tasked with the construction and maintenance of power lines. The role, suited for Journeypersons or 2nd year apprentices, requires on-call availability for emergencies. You will be involved in rigorous safety measures and operational responsibilities while working with various tools and equipment in a demanding setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Erect and maintain power distribution lines up to 27.6KV
• Operate live line tools safely on energized circuits




• Inspect and oversee installations by external contractors
• Conduct minor tree trimming as needed
• Fulfill standby on-call duties as necessary

Requirements:
• Working towards Powerline Technician qualification or equivalent
• Grade 12 high school diploma required
• Hold a valid Ontario Class DZ or AZ-Restricted Driver’s License
• Proficient in reading technical documents
• Able to work at heights and in extreme conditions
