As a Fairmont Gold Supervisor, you’ll help lead the daily operation of our exclusive Fairmont Gold floor, supporting our colleagues while ensuring every detail of the guest journey reflects Fairmont’s luxury service standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Fairmont Gold Supervisor, you’ll lead by example and support the team in creating a seamless and highly personalized experience for our Fairmont Gold guests. Your responsibilities will include:

Lead and support the daily operation of the Fairmont Gold floor and lounge, ensuring consistent luxury service, presentation, and operational standards

Provide warm, professional, engaging, and personalized service throughout the guest journey, from arrival through departure

Support, coach, and guide Fairmont Gold colleagues during the shift, coordinating priorities and helping the team deliver a seamless experience

Review daily arrivals, departures, guest profiles, preferences,



and special requests to anticipate needs and personalize each stay

Welcome Fairmont Gold guests and support private check-in and check-out, concierge services, and other guest-service functions

Build genuine relationships with guests, recognize preferences, and look for thoughtful opportunities to make their stay memorable

Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally, taking ownership and working with the appropriate teams to achieve effective resolution

Oversee daily Fairmont Gold Lounge food & beverage service, ensuring offerings are presented, replenished, and maintained to established luxury and food safety standards

Monitor lounge service periods and adjust priorities and colleague deployment according to guest volume and operational needs

Work closely with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to coordinate daily offerings, service requirements, dietary restrictions, allergies, special requests, and replenishment

Ensure the lounge, buffet presentations, service areas, china, glassware, equipment, and guest spaces remain clean, organized, properly stocked, and beautifully presented throughout service

Ensure food safety, sanitation, responsible liquor service, and workplace safety requirements are consistently followed

Maintain strong knowledge of Fairmont Gold food and beverage offerings and confidently respond to guest questions regarding ingredients, preparation, dietary requirements, and beverage selections

Develop strong knowledge of Vancouver restaurants, attractions, events, transportation, and activities to provide personalized recommendations and concierge assistance

Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Culinary, Food & Beverage, Concierge, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and follow-through on guest needs

Identify appropriate opportunities to enhance the guest experience, encourage loyalty, and support hotel revenue through room and experience recommendations

Assist with shift briefings, colleague assignments, operational follow-up, and communication of important guest and hotel information

Maintain accurate guest information and departmental records using Opera PMS and other hotel systems

Maintain professional appearance, grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards and lead by example in accordance with hotel expectations

Follow departmental procedures, hotel policies, Fairmont brand standards, and all applicable health and safety requirements

Participate in required briefings, meetings, training, audits, and service excellence initiatives

Perform other duties reasonably assigned to support Fairmont Gold and hotel operations





What You Bring to the Role

We're looking for someone who understands that Fairmont Gold is about more than excellent guest service. You should be equally comfortable engaging with a guest, supporting your team, and overseeing a busy food & beverage lounge service.

Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage experience, preferably within a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, lounge, or similar high-service environment

Previous supervisory or leadership experience in Food & Beverage, Front Office, Guest Services, or luxury hospitality preferred

Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards, food safety, sanitation, dietary restrictions, allergens, and responsible alcohol service

Valid Serving It Right certification required

Previous Front Office, Fairmont Gold, Concierge, or Guest Relations experience considered a solid asset

Experience with Opera PMS or a similar Property Management System preferred

Strong luxury service orientation with a genuine ability to anticipate guest needs and personalize experiences

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished, skilled presence

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and service-recovery skills

Confidence leading by example, providing direction, and supporting colleagues during busy service periods

Solid knowledge of Vancouver and the surrounding area, including restaurants, attractions, events, transportation, and activities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and professional

Reliable, accountable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Strong computer skills and the ability to confidently learn and navigate hotel systems

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements

Physical & Operational Requirements

Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift

Frequent movement throughout Fairmont Gold and other areas of the hotel

Frequent bending, reaching, carrying, and repetitive movement associated with lounge and guest service

Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 20 lbs. (9 kg)

Ability to safely handle trays, food and beverage service items, china, and glassware

Ability to work effectively in a busy guest-facing and food & beverage environment with changing service demands
