Unimax is seeking a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer to advise on legal matters across all divisions. This role involves contract management, mergers, and compliance, ensuring legal protection and risk management.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position requires expertise in corporate governance and a strong background in commercial law. As a trusted advisor, you will assist business units in navigating legal complexities while supporting strategic growth initiatives. Your role will also evolve to include responsibilities as the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements
• Manage corporate records and governance practices




• Participate in mergers and acquisitions transactions
• Act as a legal advisor to internal teams
• Coordinate Board meetings and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements:
• LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited institution
• Member in valuable standing of the Barreau du Québec
• 10+ years in corporate and commercial law
• Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions
• Fully bilingual in French and English
