Position: Full Time Patrol Security Guard

Status: Full-Time

Hours: 12-hour shifts (Continental Rotating days/nights)

Payrate: $24.00/hr

Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours

Job Overview:

Toronto Eaton Centre is one of Canada’s premier retail destinations, located in the heart of downtown Toronto. With high daily foot traffic, a wide range of retailers, and continuous activity throughout the day, the site operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

As a Security Guard, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the property. This position involves a combination of patrol, customer service, and incident response, requiring professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-traffic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry to restricted areas.
- Observe site activity through patrols and security systems, including CCTV and alarms.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, escalating when required.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity.
- Provide customer service and assistance to tenants, employees, and visitors.
- Enforce property rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Support emergency response procedures,



including evacuations and first aid incidents.
- Perform routine security inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Security Leadership and the client.

Prerequisites:

- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- Solid communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude
- Prior experience in security and/or post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
