In this key role, you will operate equipment, perform daily safety inspections, and keep our Materials Recovery Facility running cleanly and smoothly.

Valid

Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.

Driving Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience. Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy commercial vehicles and hydraulic systems. Forklift and Skid Steer and Telehandler experience. Strong attendance record and flexibility to support early morning start schedules and operational overtime when needed.

Safe Fleet Operation: Safely operate tractor-trailer truck and on-board hydraulic systems.

Safety Inspections:



Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily and complete required trip logs and paperwork. Skillfully operate hydraulic systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage. Promptly report any mechanical write-ups, route hazards, or safety incidents to management.

Service Quality: Maintain high productivity, customer service standards, and vehicle cleanliness.

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, municipal bylaws, company safety policies, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with facility personnel and Supervisors to support smooth, efficient daily operations. May be required to work overtime.
