The Trades Assistant/Labourer assists with the installation of gas fireplaces in residential homes, construction sites, and new builds. At Maxwell Fireplace, this field position can be the first step in the career path to Gas Apprentice, providing the successful applicant with hands-on experience and relevant knowledge in what is required of a ticketed Gas Fitter.

No nights. No weekends. No holidays.

Hours vary between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Full-time position.

Applicants must have/be:

- Experience working in construction or a similar field (preferred)
- Comfortable with heights and ladders, as well as accessing small spaces
- Able to lift and carry heavy items (100+ lbs)
- Physically fit with full mobility that allows for bending, lifting, and stretching
- Fluent in writing, speaking, and reading English
- Able to problem-solve, make decisions, and provide solutions
- A valid BC driver's licence (preferred)
- Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship status

Job Types: Permanent, Apprenticeship, Full time Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
