Cummings Trailer Sales & Rentals Ltd. is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined person to join our trailer shop.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with their hands, knows their way around tools, and takes pride in doing a job properly.

You do not need to be a licensed mechanic. We are more interested in finding someone with positive mechanical ability, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Work may include

- Trailer repairs and maintenance
- Brakes, bearings and suspension work
- Trailer wiring and electrical repairs
- General mechanical repairs
- Installing parts and accessories
- Basic fabrication and shop work
- Inspecting trailers and identifying repairs needed
- Keeping your work area and tools organized
- Helping with other shop duties as required

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Has valuable mechanical skills and is comfortable using hand and power tools
- Has previous hands-on mechanical, automotive, equipment, farm, fabrication or similar experience
- Can work independently once shown what needs to be done
- Can follow instructions and complete jobs properly
- Is dependable and comes to work on time
- Pays attention to detail




- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is willing to learn
- Can safely perform physical shop work

Welding experience would be a great asset, but it is not required. Forklift experience is also an asset.

IMPORTANT

This is a hands-on shop position. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys mechanical work and working with tools.

If your experience is mainly office, warehouse picking, driving or general labour with very little mechanical experience, this position is probably not the right fit.

We are looking for someone interested in becoming a long-term member of our team, not someone looking for a short-term position.
