Transitional Housing Support Worker – Full-Time Temporary

Wage: $24.00-$29.52 per hour

· Earn vacation time accumulated at a rate of 6% of hours worked immediately upon hire.

Position Overview The Transitional Housing Support Worker:

- Provides support to women and children in the SPARK Transitional Housing Program - Dol-Mar Manor, as they move forward from relationship and family violence.
- Promotes positive parent child relationships through guidance, role modeling, and support.
- Supports family strengths, wellbeing, and goals through individualized planning and case management.
- Assists families with daily routines, practical needs, and activities at Dol-Mar Manor.
- Develops and facilitates weekly programming, wellness activities, and ongoing individual and group support.
- Maintains accurate, timely, and professional documentation in accordance with SPARK policies.
- Collaborates with referral partners to ensure coordinated and seamless client services.
- Completes housekeeping, laundry, gardening, and general facility maintenance duties.
- Helps maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment while following emergency and risk management procedures.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1 Full-Time Temporary Position: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.

Schedule: Daytime, evening, weekday, weekend shifts

Experience and Competencies:





- Diploma or degree in a human service field is preferred, but a combination of related training and experience will be considered.
- Excellent knowledge of the issue of family violence, and trauma aware supports.
- Previous experience in related field would be an asset
- A valid driver's license combined with a 3-year clean driving history.
