Responsibilities of a Casual Transport Guard

- Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility

- Escort detainees within the premises using restraints as necessary for safety

- Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress

- Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns





- Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors

- Utilize security software and equipment effectively

- Conduct frequent wellness checks

- Generate accurate incident and daily reports

- Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques

Qualifications for Casual Transport Guard

- Valid Alberta Security Guard License

- Valid First Aid Level 1 is required.

- Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years- needed for reliability clearances

- Must be able to drive compnay vehicle for long hours.

- Have Clean driver's Abstract.

- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)

- Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check

- Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations

- Robust communication and customer service skills
