At S&C Electric Canada, Co‑Op students are valued contributors to our mission of building a safer, more reliable, and more resilient electrical grid.The Lean Performance Systems (LPS) Assistant is responsible for analyzing current processes through time studies and continuous improvement activities to identify waste and drive operational efficiencies. They support the development of standard work, aid in initiatives, and help implement improvement actions by working closely with teams.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct time studies.Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.Understand and help with the standard work method development.Support in the 5S blitzes and prepare documents.Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work.Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement.Support identifying wastes and implementing process improvements.Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPursuing a Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software,



or Manufacturing Engineering Diploma/Degree or related field in a post‑secondary institution.Registered in a co‑op program and eligible to work the Fall 2026 term (Sept.–Dec.).Strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity.Programming and analytical skills.Detail‑oriented.Positive communication skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment.Able to work in a fast‑paced work environment with minimal supervision.Able to lift up to 40 lbs.Work Schedule:Monday – Thursday; 4:00 pm – 2:00 am (38 hrs per week)Work Term:Fall 2026 (4 months: Sept.–Dec.)Compensation:The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 – $36.40. Individual pay within this range is determined by compensable factors such as year of study, type of academic program, and number of prior co‑op work terms completed.
