Position SummarySchool District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications forCasual Learning Support Workersto support students in the Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.The Successful Candidate WillWork with school and district staff to support the individual needs of students.Assist in the delivery of regular or alternate education programs for individuals or groups.Advocate for students and participate in school-based teams as needed.QualificationsCompletion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program.Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children/youth with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilities.Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.Compensation for Uncertified ApplicantsApplicants without the required certification will be consideredUncertifiedand compensated at the corresponding rate.
