Job SummaryThe City of Dawson – Public Works department is seeking applications for a Waste Attendant. Reporting to the Waste Management Supervisor, the Waste Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the landfill, collections, and waste diversion center, interacting with the public and ensuring a protected, healthy and enjoyable environment. This position is responsible for operation of any systems in place for receiving waste, which may include weigh scales, fee collection, refunds, and data gathering. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the City’s Free Store, including operations and maintenance.CertificationsCertification, training, or professional development in waste management operations would be considered an assetStandard First AidWHMISValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenceEducation, Knowledge & SkillsHighschool GraduationStrong experience and knowledge of waste management operationsExperience working with heavy equipment,
