Contribute to student success as an Itinerant Special Education Support Worker with St. Francis of Assisi CES in Newcastle, Ontario. This role requires assisting students with behavioral needs through specialized educational strategies.

In this 35 hours/week position, you will support teachers and administration in developing behavioral strategies and monitoring student progress. The role emphasizes coaching and direct support to help students with special needs thrive in a classroom setting. Candidates will collaborate with school teams to ensure appropriate program implementation and compliance with policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing effective strategies for student behavior
• Provide in-class support for students needing behavioral intervention
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress




• Conduct data collection and behavioral assessments
• Offer training on behavioral management systems to staff

Requirements:
• OSSD and a three-year Child and Youth Care diploma
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral exceptionalities
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid
• Effective communication skills with students and staff
• Valid driver's license for transportation to various schools
