Become an InSight Mentor to provide essential support for pregnant women who have used substances. This role focuses on advocacy, harm reduction, and connecting clients to crucial community services.
The InSight department is seeking a mentor who can engage effectively with women 18+ during and after pregnancy. You will conduct outreach, facilitate harm-reduction support, and help clients set team-oriented safety goals. This role requires maintaining accurate EMR documentation and participating in interagency committees to enhance service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide intensive advocacy and outreach to clients
• Connect women to community resources for support
• Develop and monitor collaborative safety and harm reduction goals
• Maintain detailed EMR documentation for client interactions
• Attend interagency committees for quality improvement
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary preferred
• At least two years of experience working with women
• Knowledge of addiction and harm reduction strategies
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Support women with substance use backgrounds and contribute to community well-being through the InSight Mentor role.
