About the Role Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our maintenance department. You’ll ensure our fleet and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while driving continuous improvement throughout the operation.
We’re Looking For Someone With: Previous experience leading a maintenance team or supervising mechanics
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial equipment
Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
A team-first mentality
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Proficiency with maintenance software and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of transportation, fleet, and regulatory compliance requirements
Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills
The ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Key Responsibilities Safety Promote and maintain a strong safety culture where “Safety Starts with Me”
Ensure compliance with company, client,



and legislative safety requirements
Participate in and lead toolbox talks
Report and investigate incidents as required
Complete required safety training and support protected work practices
Documentation Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, purchasing records, and supplier documentation
Prepare purchase orders and requisitions
Verify and approve daily mechanic work orders
Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant
Support continuous improvement through proper record management
Operations Lead, coach, mentor, and support mechanics and maintenance staff
Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules
Generate and assign work orders
Inspect completed maintenance work for quality
Approve mechanic labour hours daily
Oversee shop operations, housekeeping, and safety
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees
Work closely with vendors, contractors, and service providers
Support maintenance budgeting and recommend equipment upgrades
Oversee DOT compliance and preventative maintenance requirements
Respond to maintenance emergencies when required
Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
